Beyond the Field: A Motivation Session for Young Athletes

GHSS Chalissery | Sub-District Sports Meet On the eve of the Sub-District Sports Meet , I had the privilege of engaging with the young athletes of Government Higher Secondary School, Chalissery , representing the school in various sporting events from Classes V to XII . The motivation session centred on the mental dimensions of sporting excellence— managing pre-competition anxiety, strengthening self-belief, sustaining focus, fostering team spirit, and striving consistently towards one’s personal best . The interaction also sought to reinforce the idea that true sporting achievement extends beyond medals and victories; it is equally reflected in discipline, perseverance, confidence and the courage to give one’s very best. Meeting these young and enthusiastic athletes was both inspiring and rewarding. Vijayathiram – From Fear to Confidence, Stress to Success

19 September 2026 | NSS HSS Mullurkkara Some professional engagements remain memorable not merely because of the occasion itself, but because of the meaningful connections they create. One such cherished experience was my opportunity to be part of ‘Vijayathiram – A Motivation Class’ , organised by National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit No. 652, NSS HSS Mullurkkara , on 19 September 2026 at 10.00 a.m. at the School Auditorium. I was honoured to be invited as the Resource Person for the session, titled “From Fear to Confidence, Stress to Success.” The session was envisioned as an engaging and purposeful interaction with the NSS volunteers, focusing on the challenges associated with examination stress, the cultivation of self-confidence, and the development of a positive and resilient approach to learning and achievement.
