Cultivating  Socio-Emotional Skills in Second Language Learners

As part of my experimental study, I designed and implemented "My Reflective Journal" for students to develop essential self-awareness and self-management skills. This innovative tool integrates socio-emotional strategies with second language acquisition, empowering students to enhance their journaling skills and build socio-emotional competence.

By incorporating reflective journaling into their learning process, students can:

- Develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors

- Cultivate self-awareness, self-regulation, and self-motivation

- Enhance their socio-emotional skills, including empathy, communication, and problem-solving

- Improve their second language acquisition and overall academic performance

Through "My Reflective Journal," students are encouraged to explore their feelings, experiences, and interactions, fostering a growth mindset and promoting holistic development. By integrating socio-emotional strategies with second language acquisition, we can empower students to become more confident, resilient, and effective learners.
