MY DEW DROPS
SILENT TEARS
Born with me
In that dark midnight,
To bear all that in me
And to cleanse all that defiles,
They rolled on all over.
Those crystals of deep emotions;
Those drops of colourless events;
It makes my cheeks wet
My vision obscure
My breath fast.
It gummed my laps
My thoughts perish
My life at pause.
Never does it complain
Nor does it scream
For whom it sheds
And what it awaits,
But it’s clear
That it’s in my pains and gains;
Born with me
And that will bury with my death
NEGLECT
ME NOT
Stopping at the railway station
Glancing through the window pane
There far I saw,
A pine
tree full of dust.
Among the big stones and leaves,
Slept, poor fellows of the land
Crunching out of stony beds
Started in search of food for dears.
With a facetious smile,
Hands besieging a child
There near I saw,
A frantic mom clad in dust.
Amidst the rush ,in it’s branch
Made a cradle with her saree
piece.
Execrating the fate, she sang
Lullabies for the new born lass
Not knowing of those around,
Her eyes sparkled as a pearl out of shell.
For
my ‘Dew’
Dried are the rivers
Dead are those pastures
And blank is my mind
No words to share
No views to expose
Nothing to complain
But only prayers for you …,my dew
Slave to you , my Lord
Mantle to you , my Thee
Beggar to you, my Dew
Begging drops of love from you
I wait…….,Ipray…...
I live……,Isleep…..
It’s all for you…,my dew
It’s only for you….,my dew
Grow fast and glow well
Come fast and share love
I await you, in me
I await your call…….”Mom”
